The second and third year residents care for patients at a well known nursing home located across the street from the hospital. Care includes monthly visits to the site, with acute visits as needed per each individual patient. The on call doctor for the practice covers night and weekend calls. The geriatric fellowship program director and the fellow hold monthly teaching sessions and are available for consulting in-patient and out-patient. The geriatric fellowship is a one year fellowship with a diverse curriculum and an office located in the family practice center. |
