Rotations required during the third year of residency are radiology, opthalmology, otolaryngology, community medicine, and practice management. A two-week practice management rotation compliments the bi monthly seminars to instruct residents about setting up a practice and efficiently managing an office. Seminars on office management and assistance also are offered through Riverside's Physician Services department. There are two elective months provided in the third year. You are welcome to design these electives to meet your specific needs. You also will have an opportunity to learn sports medicine by serving as a team doctor for one of the local high schools. Geriatric training is available through the Family Practice Center's active nursing home practice, which includes weekly teaching rounds and house calls. |
