In addition, residents provide prenatal care to obstetric patients at the Family Practice Center throughout all three years of the residency. Additional electives are available in the 3rd year at both Riverside and other hospital/office settings.Various ob/gyn procedures performed at the Family Practice Center include the following: colposcopy, ultrasound, IUD insertion, cryotherapy, pessary and diaphragm assessment and placement, NuvaRing placement, endometrial biopsy, contraceptive and fertility counseling.
